Charity Support

The Bridges of Heroes

Charity was formed in September 2010 with the aim of delivering direct and immediate support to serving, veterans and families of Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

In June 2011, the Charity opened its first high street Contact Centre in the town of Kings Lynn, Norfolk. During its first year of operations, the Charity has had over 10,000 visitors to the Contact Centre, delivered 1,700 support sessions and helped directly 300 beneficiaries. We have had hosted 23 school visits and have had 2,500 children during the Christmas period. The support we have delivered during this period has ranged from respite breaks, pensions advice, compensation claims, housing advice, services records, veterans advice and guidance, Military Historical research and any other support issues that have arisen. With so many visitors to the Centre, this has enabled awareness within the wider community of the various issues effecting both serving and former members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

The Contact Centre is based around o Charity shop encompassing a respite area, military museum, one-to-one area and information area. The Centre is also used on different days to host various group therapy sessions model making.

The first Contact Centre has only been possible due to the generosity of the public donating their money and time and people like you selves donating gifts. We received your Charity Paintball Tickets and are planning to use them as Thanks for corporate sponsorships, auction lots and as a thank you to work with you again in the future. We would greatly appreciate any other offers that are available to Charities.
