Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you on the behalf of 4th New Forest North (Eling) Sea Scouts to thank you for your support of last year’s Totton Donkey Derby and to ask if you would consider donating a prize for our raffle this year. Proceeds from the event will go towards funding our Aquativity Centre based at Testwood Lakes, Totton.
This center is an exciting new facility for our area, providing a combined Sea Scout headquarters and Boating centre for youth and disability groups. Our aim is to inspire a generation Sea Scout whatever their ability to experience water based sports and our facilities have already been used by other youth groups and charities such as Help the Heroes. This year we welcome RYA Salability to use our headquarters to provide opportunities to those disabilities in our local area.
We will selling tickets over the coming months and the draw will be held at the annual Donkey derby On Saturday 21st may 2016. This evet is organized by our group and proceeds go towards funding the Aquativity center. It is a very popular event, last year attended by over 4000 people and a highlight in the local calendar. Publicity for your donation will be given by through our website/social media and via Our commentary on the day during the event.
