On behalf of everybody at CHICKS I would like to say a massive thank you for supporting our SkyBall on the 29th November.
We raised a fantastic £28,602 from the event with the auction and raffle raising over £10,000. We would particularly like to thank you for your fantastic donation 5 complimentary tickets.
As you may know, CHICKS receives no government funding and we rely on the kind generosity of supporters like you to raise the vital funds needed to give disadvantaged children respite breaks in the South West.
Our CHICKS 2014 season has just drawn to a close but, for the fourth year running, we will be providing special breaks at out two retreats over the Christmas week. For many CHICKS children Christmas isn’t a happy time so, from 23rd – 27th December, a group of deserving children from all over the UK will come together for the breaks ‘Holly’ and ‘Tinsel’. The children will get to enjoy a traditional family Christmas with lots of fun outings such as horse riding and a trip to the pantomime. On Christmas day the children will wake up to find stockings at the end of their beds, presents for them under the tree and mountains of delicious food!
Our breaks will be resuming in early March 2015 and the money raised from the SkyBall helped by your wonderful donation, will make such a huge difference to the lives of the children who benefit. Thank you very much indeed.
