I am writing to thank you for your kind donation of 5 Delta Force fundraising paintball tickets with an estimated value of £500. This will be used as an auction prize in our upcoming Gent's Dinner in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice at Ramside Hall Hotel on Friday 2' June 2017. It is extremely generous of you to donate to us in this way, which is hugely appreciated by everyone at the hospice.
St Cuthbert's Hospice is a small, local charity and therefore we rely heavily on the support of the community around us. Without supporters like you, we simply could not help families to cope with the effects of life-limiting illnesses or provide them with personalised support when they need it most.
At present, we have an eleven bed in patient unit and a day hospice offering places for 72 people each week. We also provide a variety of services including Day Care, Outpatient Appointments, Day Treatments and Lymphoedema clinics. Additionally, we work in partnership with other specialists to provide Heart Failure Groups, Respiratory Groups and Welfare Rights clinics for patients and their carers. We go out into the community, offering help and guidance to carers of people with dementia and working with other agencies to ensure homes are adapted for patients to return to. Additionally, we also offer bereavement and counselling services to the community and we are able to provide our services at no financial cost to our guests. All of these vital services cost the hospice £2.3 million a year and the kind donation you have made will help us to continue providing these specialist care services to people across County Durham.
We pride ourselves on making the hospice a happy, vibrant place to spend time. We have just completed some building works to further improve our services and we would be delighted to show you around.
