April 2016
Dear Ms Stevens,
Thank you for supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. It is my pleasure to include a copy of our latest issue of progress magazine which includes interviews with our researchers, who are leading the way in pioneering new ways to treat cancer, and highlights of our annual Marsden March event last month.
You can also read about when HRH the Duke of Cambridge, President of The Royal Marsden visited our Sutton hospital in November 2015. He heard about the world-leading research that lakes place here and the impact this has on those affected by cancer. He talked to clinicians and scientists about their current research, and patients about their experiences of being on a clinical trial.
Clinical trials are key to finding new ways to diagnose and treat cancer. The groundbreaking outcomes of past clinical trials at The Royal Marsden have led to the development of internationally accepted cancer treatments, and today we are making scientific discoveries that are the foundations of new treatments.
If your organization would like to help The Royal Marsden continue to develop new ways to diagnose patients and pioneer new treatments, we’ve got lots of exciting new challenges, featured in this issue of progress that you could take on. There is a wide variety to choose from including obstacle races, open water swimming and skydiving. You can also find out more at www.royalmarsden.org/summer16 or you can call us on 020 8770 0279 to get involved.
Thank you for your support, it really makes a difference.
Yours sincerely,
Antonia Dalmahoy
