I am writing to you in the hope that you may again be able to support me in the charity fund-raising that I am involved with for the NSPCC. You have generously helped me in the past and this has been a big help to my fund-raising events and I hope you do not object I ask you again for the much needed help and support that you and others give. I have been a fund-raising for thirteen years and stage regular events to raise much needed funds to help abused children through the work of the NSPCC. Volunteer work is essential for them to continue their fight against child abuse.
On the 21st September 2012, I am holding the 13th annual five-a-side football competition at St Vincent College Gosport, Hampshire, with a presentation evening to be held on the same day at Fareham Working Men Club, Fareham. As well as the presentation of trophies there is a disco, raffle and auction and it is here that I would ask for your help. I would be very grateful if you were able to donate either a prize for the raffle or something that could be put into our auction.
It is with the help of people such as yourselves that I am able to stage an event. I realize what I ask for is help and to be honest I rely on support by others to help make a success of the day as donations of this kind add prestige to the event. The evening events is for all players, family, friends and members of the public and it is a great asset to me and the charity that I can promote this night by advertising the prizes and auction items on offer.
In previous years I have also been able to promote sponsors by advertising them through literature carefully laid out at the venue and through announcing donators at the presentation evening. I pride myself on holding an event that people look forward to and talk about every year and whole be delighted if you were able to help me continue this.
