It was fantastic to have your support and we really could have not have raised as much money without your support.
The event was a huge success, and with your help we were able to raise over £185,000. This could ensure that over 231 schools (16,632 children) are visited by the Childline Schools Service, to talk to children about abuse, recognise abuse is wrong and show them where to get help.
Children really remember the messages from the Childline School Service Assembly. Bob the Childline School's Services are coordinator for the South West shares feedback from a child following a visit from the Childline School Service teaching them how to be happy and safe.
When I returned to a school in Cornwall to run the follow-up workshops, a child came up up to me in the workshop and said, 'Since I listened to you in the hall last week I have called Childline abut stuff...I was a bit scared but the lady on the phone was really nice, she listened to me, just like it said in the film!...I've got the number written down safely, but I can remember the number using my fingers like you showed us'.
Thanks to your support, we were able to deliver the Childline School Services for schools across the country. Your Generosity will help make sure that every child someone to return to, whatever their worry.
