Delta force very generously supported the work of the Alzheimer's Research Trust last year by donating a 5 booklets of tickets (each representing free entry for 8 players to any Delta Force Paintball Centre in the UK) for our Annual Prize Draw, and with your help this year, the Trust raised almost £80,000 from the draw mailing towards our vital research program.
The Alzheimer's Research Trust is the Leading UK dementia research charity, funding cutting-edge medical research into the causes of Alzheimer's disease and other dementia s as well as better ways to diagnose and treat them.
We would now like to appeal again for our 2009 Annual Prize Draw. As with this year, we would acknowledge Delta Force on the Draw tickets for any support you are able to offer. We are planning to send around 35,000 books of raffle tickets to our supporters spread across the UK in May, prior to the draw taking place in August. Over the next few months 17 pioneering research projects will begin led by top UK scientist, aiming to find ways to combat dementia once and for all. Thanks to your support, we are able to fund innovative and ground-breaking research to hasten the progress. However, we still have to turn down 2 out of every 3 applications we receive from other promising scientists. We desperately need to increase funding for dementia research and would be hugely grateful for your continued support to help fund our vital work
